response to comment on sustainable development

I'm glad you think this is a viable direction ... my primary goal is to *realistically* change the way we do business, consume, etc. While some folks might enjoy moving to a sustainably-run commune, I have a difficult time imagining, for example, Misters Trump and Buffett going along for the ride!

If we create a broad market for sustainably developed goods, then I predict that the old fashioned rules of supply and demand will save the day - and maybe even the environment upon which we depend. :)

Stay tuned for more updates ... and feel free to contribute, should you be interested.

cadillac desert

read this book! I'm not a westerner, so lots of the "water wars" was news for me. I was amazed at the lack of foresight displayed by the bureau of reclamation and the army corps of engineers in building thousands of dams over the arid west. This was a huge investment and an environmental nightmare. I wish I had a good solution to submit, but a first step here at least is a prime example of how not to do something.
